Utbildning i WordPress – Svenska Livräddningssällskapet

Tillsammans med ITFORM var jag med och tog fram en ny webbplats åt Svenska Livräddningssällskapet i Göteborg (SLS). De hade sen en längre tid tröttnat på sin hemsida som var svår att uppdatera och som hade klara begränsningar i både tillgänglighet och utformning.

SLS ville inget hellre än att få en snygg webbplats som var enkel att uppdatera och som samtidigt kunde hantera den omfattande mängd med bokningar som de hanterar varje termin. Med varierande datorvana var det viktigt att den nya webbplatsen var enkel att hantera och att övergången skedde på ett tryggt sätt. Tillsammans tog ITFORM fram design, struktur, fotografier och bokningssystem som resulterade i den sida som idag används.

Min roll i samarbetet var att tillsammans med designer, utvecklare och arbetsgruppen på SLS ta fram en lämplig utformning av webbplatsen. Sidan utvecklades med WordPress som plattform för att SLS enkelt skulle kunna hantera uppdateringar på egen hand.

När sidan var färdig tog jag fram anpassade manualer i den egna miljön för att underlätta för de anställda. Under en halvdag utbildade jag sedan de anställda på SLS i hur de med hjälp av WordPress kan uppdatera sin webbplats med text, bild och länkar. En månad senare besökte jag dem på nytt för att räta ut frågetecken som eventuellt uppkommit sen utbildningen.
